The Fairy Queen had two twin daughters. The girls looked like two drops of water, but had different hair colors. Millie, golden-haired, was calm and balanced, and Gwendolyn, red-haired, extremely mischievous. For the fourteen-year-old daughters, the fairy queen decided to have a big ball in their honor. “After the ball, you can choose your magic power,” she said. “It’s just fantastic, but why wait so long?” Gwendolyn asked. Mother explained that the right choice can only be made when you are ready for it. The Great Magic Book says that this happens exactly on the day when the fairies turn fourteen. So the long-awaited holiday has come. The queen chose a cozy clearing for the ball near the pond and appointed two elves to prepare everything. First, they decorated a magical clearing with daffodils and cornflowers, decorated wooden tables with large leaves and cupped flowers, laid fruit in them. Then they began to assemble the choir. Frogs were supposed to sing in low voices. Each of them was placed on a separate sheet of water lilies on the water. The party of high voices was entrusted with the performance of songbirds — darkness flew over them. When evening came, the queen solemnly announced the opening of the initiation ceremony in the fairies and brought her daughters. First she turned to Millie.

«Soon you will become a real fairy, tell me what kind of power you want to get?»

«Mommy, I want to rule the sun. Then I can become the Fairy of Clear Day. I really like sunny weather, and nothing in the world pleases me like a cloudless sky. In addition, the sun warms the earth, and this is useful for it.»

Mother approved her daughter’s choice and joyfully gave her royal consent. Then she turned to the mischievous Gwendolyn: «My daughter, now I want to hear your answer, which element did you choose for yourself?»

“I want to control the rain. You see, Mom, only when it rains, my hair is perfectly fit and even a little curly. I really like it. And when it rains, I willingly run through the puddles. But this is all empty, because everyone knows that the earth needs rain to water it. That is why I want to become the Fairy of the Rain.»

The queen was very pleased with the response of her second daughter. She called the elf, and he brought the newly-made fairies wands and luxurious dresses. One put on a golden dress, the color of the sun, and the second — blue, the color of the storm. From now on, Millie was called the Fairy of the Sun, and Gwendolyn was called the Fairy of the Rain. And then the fun began. At first, a calm and affectionate Millie woke up.

She opened the window, waved her wand and said: “May this day be sunny!” And the sun warmed so that Gwendolyn woke up from the heat. The mischievous fairy sharply opened its window wide and, in order to tease her sister, exclaimed: “Let it rain!” Of course, clouds immediately appeared in the sky and it began to rain. Millie in response angrily wrinkled her brows, raised her wand and exclaimed: “Sun, come on!”. The sun immediately peeped out from behind the clouds and it became clear. Gwendolyn stomped her foot in exasperation and imperiously ordered: “Rain, hail, thunder immediately to work!” Millie, in turn, caused a terrible drought. And so it went on all day.

The poor nature was bewildered and did not have time to carry out the orders of two young fairies. Snails crawled out of shells during the rain and quickly hid, only the sun peeking out. So the frogs either plunged into puddles, then again jumped out of them. The swallows were generally baffled and did not know how to fly them: low, in the rain, high, in the heat. Suddenly, rain fell in the sun and a rainbow appeared. Only then did the little stubborn fairies realize that their mother, the fairy queen, was angry — that was her sign. The girls calmed down and sat at the negotiating table. They decided that power should be shared. In autumn and spring there is more rainy weather, less in summer and winter. Since then, everything has been harmonious in nature. Well, almost like that …And when you suddenly see that a rainbow appeared in the sky after the rain you know, this is the fairy queen trying to reconcile her restless daughters. Here is a story.

For almost every lesson, we are looking for some information on the Internet. This gives us many new ideas and opportunities. The only negative on blogs is numbers and calculations, because writing them on a blog is very difficult or even impossible.
